SCOPE OF WORK : Performs various office and program support duties for the Admissions Office focused on assisting prospective students and their families with their transition to NHTI, Concord's Community College.
This position reports to the Director of Admissions at NHTI - Concord's Community College.
ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Serves as a resource person for prospective students and other visitors to campus and answers personal inquiries as they relate to the Admissions Office;
- Provides tours to groups of prospective students;
- Recruits and trains Student Ambassadors;
- Assists with recruitment events, such as school group visits to NHTI, Open Houses, and Orientations;
- Assists Admissions Office by performing clerical activities, including, but not limited to data entry, preparation of materials and follow up with prospective students;
- Assist Admissions Office personnel during student registration period on Banner;
- Answers Admissions office telephones and assists with main switchboard telephone duties;
- Provides support to the following offices : Admissions, Financial Aid, Bursar, Registrar, and Student Life;
- Student Ambassadors must read, understand, and adhere to NHTI's student life policies, and will be expected to support and model them in their dealings with new students;
- Complies with all college, system, state and federal rules and regulations;
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : High school diploma or its equivalent.
Experience : No experience required.
License / Certification : None
RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS : Some knowledge of proper English usage and grammar. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to learn assigned clerical tasks readily and to adhere to prescribed departmental procedures. Ability to make simple arithmetical computations and tabulations accurately and with reasonable speed.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college appointing authority.
