Who You Are :
Versar, Inc. is seeking a CAD Specialist for our Environmental & Sustainable Infrastructure Business Area. This position will report directly to the Digital Transformation and Geospatial Service Line Leader to support internal data workflows and services, provide data capture and data development support, as well as drafting and modeling support, to sustain and advance our spatial data initiatives across multiple service lines including natural resources, remediation, engineering, and asset management.
The ideal candidate will have the knowledge and experience of computer aided design concepts and applications used to create topological and geospatially accurate data, incorporate industry standards to workflows and products.
Tasks will include but not be limited to supporting data development and visualization objectives using2D and 3D and CAD data creation, data conversion, and data optimization and interoperability.
The candidate will also need to demonstrate the ability to create products that allow for data and information to be disseminated and visualized using both proprietary and non-proprietary open-source software solutions.
What You’ll Do :
Survey & CAD Responsibilities
- Communicate with the team to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all work assignments.
- Maintains organized files and documents of all data.
- Collect, Process, and interpret geospatial data collected in the field from : Terrestrial Survey from GNSS and Total StationsAirborne Photogrammetry / LiDARTerrestrial Scan data
- Feature extraction and generation of terrain files, planimetric feature extraction and annotations.
- Adhere to company and / or client CAD / GIS Standards.
What You’ll Bring :
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalency (GED)
- Minimum 2 years of land surveying doing primarily topographic surveys.
- Minimum 2 years of experience utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D / Carlson.
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be capable and willing to travel CONUS / OCONUS for project work.
- Must be capable to obtain FAA Part Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- BS / BA in geomatics, Land surveying, geographic information systems, information technologies, engineering, or a closely related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Land Surveying utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D and / or OpenRoads Designer
- FAA Part Certification and familiarity with non-DJI drones a plus
- Familiarity with Trimble Survey Equipment a plus
Location Requirements
Primary work location is flexible with office, hybrid, or telework options as there is some fieldwork involved.
Compensation
Expected Salary : $60,
