Reno Staffing is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic for a custom fabricator in the Red Rock area!

Shift : M-F 7am-3 : 30pm with flexibility

Pay : $22-$28 hr.

Location : North Valleys

Summary : Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and determine need for adjustment or repair.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Examines form and texture of part to detect imperfections.
• Inspects used parts of devices and control instruments.
• Adjusts functional parts of device and control instruments.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricates and cleans parts.
• Assembles and test operates machines to verify correction of malfunction. Maintains and lubricates machines and equipment.
• Does preventive maintenance and repairs on forklifts.
• Paints equipment as needed.
• Cleans dies as needed in order to keep production running.
• Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder and other tools to make and repair parts.
• Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electrical equipment.
• Willing to learn new skills and accept other duties as needed to keep production department running smoothly.
• Works overtime as needed. Works various shifts.
• Maintains satisfactory attendance.
• Maintains a neat and safe work area.

Competency :

• Education and / or experience : Two-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six years related experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language skills : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before FEC employees.

Mathematical skills : Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and fundamental of plane and solid geometry.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning ability : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.
