Job Summary :

As the Social Media / Marketing Intern, you will be part of our dynamic team, helping to build our brand presence and engage with our audience through various digital channels.

This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in content creation, social media management, and marketing strategy.

This opportunity is a part-time internship, based at our Downtown Akron, Ohio office and will report to our Marketing & Community Outreach Manager.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in creating, scheduling, and publishing content on social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, TikTok).
• Collaborate with our Marketing partners to develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement and followers.
• Monitor, track and report (when applicable) comments and messages across social media platforms.
• Conduct research on industry trends and audience preferences to inform content creation.
• Assist in developing marketing campaigns and promotional materials.
• Support the team with writing blog posts, newsletters, and other digital content.
• Track social media performance metrics (e.g., engagement, reach, impressions) and prepare reports.
• Help coordinate with external partners and collaborators for marketing initiatives.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for marketing campaigns and social media ideas.
• Assist with any other marketing-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications :

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Strong interest in social media and digital marketing.
• Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, X) and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Creative mindset and ability to generate fresh ideas for content and campaigns.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) is a plus.
• Experience with video editing or graphic design is a bonus.
