Architectural / Interior Design Firm on the UWS is seeking a full-time Managing Director for a mid-size firm who is highly motivated and experienced to lead the team to manage multiple projects to completion and meet the Principal’s vision.
The candidate must be a strategic thinker who pays meticulous attention to detail and is able to prioritize.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the studio’s projects from concept to completion, working closely with the design team and with the Principal to understand the creative vision and direction for each project.
- Work closely with the Principal and team on project programming, design and planning, budgeting, presentations, scheduling, reporting project status, and follow up ensuring the quality and accuracy of each project.
- Assist Principal on business development (e.g., new project inquiries, proposals).
- Actively manage and mentor the design team, including prioritization, delegation, frequent check-ins, and setting and following up with team members.
