Your Key Responsibilities
A Project Manager at Stantec is chiefly responsible for driving project delivery and execution, technical quality, and design excellence.
Experience in leading multi-discipline teams while managing the resources assigned to projects is preferred. We seek candidates willing to grow the size and breadth of their management experience while at the same time having a passion for mentoring, leveraging design to enhance teaching and learning, instilling a sustainable mindset, and growing relationships with clients.
Project Managers at Stantec are responsible for :
- Management of key client accounts with multiple tasks performed simultaneously.
- Managing complex tasks on multiple, small to medium scale projects.
- Managing inter-disciplinary teams including designers, architects, engineers, and other building related professionals.
- May work collaboratively with Senior Project Managers on large, complex projects.
- Plans, organizes, and directs the work throughout the life of the project to successfully deliver the project to the client.
- Leads the client and project team to assure that the project design meets the client budget, schedule, program, and design intent.
- Assists in the negotiation and development of project agreements.
- Develops and manages project budget, schedule, and overall work plan to realize target financial performance.
- Assures that Project Management Framework tasks are timely completed and properly documented with the assistance of the Project Controls team, as directed by the Sr.
PM. (Includes but not limited to site safety planning and reports, staffing charts, audit related document preparations, etc)
- Oversees the delivery of a quality set of deliverables from studies to construction documents.
- Leads project coordination and owner / site meetings with internal team members and / or external consultants, owner and contractor and sub-contractors.
- Manages and tracks change orders, applications for payment by contractors and other contractual modifications impacting budget and schedule.
- Works with Studio leadership in determining project staffing needs, recommending personnel and annual review process for staff.
- Directs client invoicing and effectively manages collections with the support of the Project Controls team.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Able to run day-to-day project activities / tasks / meetings, manage project production team, and serve as main client POC.
- Client facing and professional.
- Able to attend regular on-site client meetings with most projects located in the Philadelphia region.
- Comprehensive understanding of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building construction systems, means and methods, materials, and industry associated standards.
- Proactively takes appropriate action without requiring continued direction or guidance.
- Effectively manages multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Team player with the client, entire project team and contractor.
- Excellent communicator, with understanding of tools such as OneNote, Bluebeam and other modern means of virtual collaboration.
- Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite. Must be proficient in MS Excel. Must have experience with managing REVIT based projects.
Microsoft Project is a plus.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Prior experience in Workplace and Mixed-Use projects. Preference given to those who have led teams.
- Prior experience as a Project Manager is a plus.
