Our Claims Operations department seeks a claims product specialist I. This role is responsible for leading and implementing large scale,plex changes and enhancements to CIC's claim systems that reduce cost, improve the customer experience for both internal and external customers, and maximize efficiency.
Starting Pay : The pay range for this position is $80,000-$102,000 annually. Pay is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities.
Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based onpany and individual performance.
Be ready to :
- lead claim system functionality change efforts from concept to production, including investigating cost-effective solutions
- ensure all requirements and priorities are aligned with claims strategy and meet expressed deliverables
- build, facilitate and foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across departments to define a shared product vision, establish project prioritization, contemplate needed resources to successfully implement changes and ensure successful new product adoption
- seek up-front, objective analysis on problems and opportunities prior to defining and developing solutions by gathering supporting data to properly identify the problem
- actively manage the product backlog, including prioritization based on business strategies and objectives, by determining sprint goals, user story acceptance criteria and ensuring the development team understands the items in the backlog and their business value
- anticipate, understand and articulate the change impact a new product will have on different departments' people, processes and technology to avoid delays and defects
- clearly articulate the strategy to the working team regarding product features and goals to ensure the product changes align with both goal objectives requested and that quality standards are clearly understood
- lead feature-level design sessions and product development by providing ongoing design insight, guidance and direction to link execution activities to business intent
- monitor execution progress, including identification and escalation of risks, issues and sources of conflict
- validate that the solution functionality meets the vision by evaluating the product to ensure developers delivered the expected oues from the user stories provided andplete final sign-off
- advocate for the product(s) by articulating the customer and business value to leaders viapelling presentations
- coordinateprehensivemunications by presenting to key stakeholders, including executives, project teams and vendors, critical information and actionable insights at the right time to ensure the business has a strong understanding of the change
- establish adoption success metrics for new products to measure impact and identify any areas for continuous improvement post-implementation
- utilize your claims handling experience, project leadership experience or SME experience to make decisions on the direction of the claims systems design and development of new functionality
Be equipped with :
- excellentmunication skills, including the ability to present clearly and persuasively to customers, vendors and colleagues
- the demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, collaborate andmunicate proficiently (both verbally and in writing) with internal and external teams, across all layers of the organization, including virtual team members across multiple time zones
- experience andfort presenting to business and executive stakeholders, with the ability to adjust the message to the audience and explainplex analysis in easily understood ways
- strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members through diplomacy, empathetic listening, trustworthiness and maintaining user confidence
- attention to detail, organization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- flexibility to be able to deal with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- strong analytical andplex problem-solving abilities to provide solutions for successful oues
- an understanding of Agile methodology, tools, approaches and user stories
Bring education and experience from :
- a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- professional insurance designations (preferred)
- at least two years of experience in an Agile environment like Scrum and / or SAFe (preferred)
- ClaimCenter experience (preferred)
- Guidewire certification (required, but can be obtained after hire)
- three years of claims handling experience or delivering and supporting a large-scale project that involved highly visible andplex strategic initiatives, facilitating requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders, developing process flows, documenting business and functional requirements, epics and user stories, prioritizing features backlog, etc.
