JobOverview : The school is seeking a dedicated andexperienced fulltime Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join ourteam.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive speechand language services to students with autism spectrum disorders(ASD).

The SLP will work collaboratively with educators therapistsand families to support the communication needs of our students andhelp them achieve their full potential.

KeyResponsibilities :

Assessment andDiagnosis :

• Conductcomprehensive assessments of students’ speech languageand communication skills.
• Diagnose speech andlanguage disorders and develop individualized treatmentplans.
• Utilize a variety of assessment toolsand techniques to evaluate communication abilities andneeds.

TherapeuticIntervention :

• Providedirect speech and language therapy services to students withASD.
• Implement evidencebased interventionstrategies to address speech language and communicationgoals.
• Adapt therapy techniques to meet theunique needs of each student.

Collaboration andConsultation :

• Collaborate with teachers occupational therapistsbehavior specialists and other school staff to supportstudents’ communication needs.
• Provide consultation and training to educators andparents on effective communication strategies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings andcontribute to the development of individualized education plans(IEPs).

Documentation andReporting :

• Maintainaccurate and confidential records of student progress and therapysessions.
• Prepare detailed reports anddocumentation for IEP meetings progress reviews and otherevaluations.
• Ensure compliance with all stateand federal regulations regarding speech and languageservices.

Family Involvement :

• Communicate regularly with parents andcaregivers regarding students’ progress and therapygoals.
• Provide resources and support tofamilies to help them reinforce communication skills athome.
• Involve families in the therapy processand encourage their active participation.

ProfessionalDevelopment :

• Staycurrent with best practices and research in the field ofspeechlanguage pathology.
• Participate inongoing professional development and trainingopportunities.
• Maintain licensure andcertifications as required by the state and professionalorganizations.

Qualifications :

• Master’s degree in SpeechLanguagePathology from an accredited program.
• Validstate licensure or eligibility for licensure inCalifornia.
• Certificate of Clinical Competencein SpeechLanguage Pathology (CCCSLP) preferred.
• Experience working with children with autism spectrumdisorders or related developmental disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of evidencebased practices in speech andlanguage therapy.
• Excellent communicationinterpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of amultidisciplinary team.
