Pay Range : $60 - $70 / hr, 1.5X OT
Per Diem : $100 / day
Work Schedule : 50...will work way up to 60

OVERVIEW :
The Construction Coordinator will be responsible to oversee various mechanical installations for the piping portion of the project and will be part of an onsite project management team overseeing the construction of a large industrial manufacturing facility.
The successful candidate will b e the interface between contractors and the client's team to evaluate / recommended field adjustments by contractors and propose directions to take to the client team.
We are l ooking for individuals with the technical experience to be able to evaluate drawings from a constructability standpoint
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Serve as Construction Coordinator - Piping representing the Owner with complete responsibilities for project safety, design reviews, construction management, equipment quality and schedule
- Coordinates with engineers, contractors, internal stakeholders, inspectors, etc. to isolate project design and / or specification problems and assists in developing solutions to these problems.
- Execute project utilizing cross functional teams consisting of contractors and internal stakeholders as required by project objectives and execution strategy
- Provide strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills to make critical project decisions.
- Responsible to ensure all program targets (schedule / performance / inventory build / etc.) are satisfied as defined within the scope document.
- Provide technical engineering services regarding equipment, processes, design disciplines, and industry design standards to the plants on request.
Provides oversight for the activities of the large capital projects
Assist installation contractor teammates in the field with tracking work progress, productivity, and project schedule.
Review contractor progress regarding productivity and schedule to validate contractor reports.
- Work closely with contractors, planners and schedulers identifying conflicts before they occur and assisting them to resolve.
- Assist in evaluations of constructability and technical reviews.
- Solving problems in the field to keep project moving forward or redirecting the questions as needed to the appropriate teammates.
Any decisions affecting budget change orders or schedule implications would need to be handled through an Action Item for approval
- Attend planning and scheduling meetings as necessary.
- Assist with answering RFIs and resolving quality issues. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE :
- Experience in project coordination of multi-disciplined industrial construction projects
- 10+ years of equipment / piping installation experience
- Able to read and understand Piping Drawings
- Demonstrated safety leadership
- Knowledge of basic project control techniques including critical path scheduling and resource loading. NICE TO HAVE SKILLS
- Experience with Autodesk Navisworks - Reviewing drawings in Navisworks would be sufficient
- Experience with HDPE and HDP welding - Understanding the process from a safety and quality perspective to gauge if the contractor is following proper procedure. PERSONAL SKILLS REQUIRED :
- Well-developed communication, leadership, problem solving and analytical, and negotiation skills
- Effectively manage project scope by minimizing change and ensuring any changes which do occur are properly documented and approved by the PM
- Ability to resolve issues and solve problems throughout a project lifecycle TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED :
- Knowledge of engineering, procurement and construction and other project-related activities, their interfaces, and interdependencies
- Broad knowledge through significant work experience of industry design standards, basic construction techniques, and equipment specifications
