Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Finance and Operations, works closely with the Chief Financial Officer by managing the day-to-day finance and accounting activities, including contracts, project tracking, billing, and creation of financial reports;
as well overseeing timeliness and accuracy of financial documents. Additionally this role will manage office and operations functions of the firm as well.
Responsibilities of The Senior Finance Manager
- Collaborate with appropriate staff on all aspects of client and affiliate contract preparation, finalization, and tracking.
- Administer set up of all new projectsincluding database entry, review of contracts and budgets, manage modifications, set up billing schedules and filing.
- Assist project managers with managing budgets and provide monthly Project Status reports.
- Project budget variance analysis and reconciliation.
- Prepare client invoices, obtain approvals, and send to clients.
- Post accounts receivable collections and follow up with clients on past due accounts.
- Supervise the posting and payment of accounts payable invoices.
- Account analysis and reporting, as well as special projects.
- Supervise and mentor Finance Assistant and Firmwide Administrative Assistant.
Qualifications of The Senior Finance Manager :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
- Experience working in a professional services firm / organization.
- Client and vendor management experience
- Deltek (Vantagepoint or Vision) would be a plus
