Job Title : Distribution Systems Operator Engineer

Pay rate : $39 per hour on W2
Job Summary :
A Distribution Systems Operator Engineer ensures the efficient and safe distribution of electricity or gas, monitoring and controlling systems to maintain reliable service.
Responsibilities :
System Monitoring : Use SCADA systems to monitor distribution networks.
Emergency Response : Quickly respond to alarms and restore service during outages.
Load Management : Manage load distribution, including peak demand and load shedding.
Switching Operations : Perform switching to reconfigure systems and isolate faults.
Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve equipment and system issues.
Data Analysis : Analyze system data to identify trends and improvements.
Communication : Coordinate with field teams and dispatchers for operations.
Safety Compliance : Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
Documentation : Keep accurate records of system events and maintenance.
Training & Maintenance : Stay updated on industry trends and support routine system maintenance.
Collaboration : Work with other departments for upgrades and repairs.
Qualifications :
Experience : Prior experience in distribution systems or utility operations.
Certifications : NERC or relevant industry certifications may be required.
Skills : Proficiency in SCADA, problem-solving, strong communication, and decision-making under pressure.
Adaptability : Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
