About the role
The Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) coordinates, monitors, analyzes, & forecasts business unit & overall company financial performance.
The Senior Director of FP&A consolidates financial results, influences strategic decisions, & provides valuable insights to senior leadership about the companys financial trajectory.
This role regularly interacts extensively with senior leadership, including Finance senior leadership.
You will report to the Senior Vice President, Deputy CFO.
Work Location :
This is a hybrid role in our New York City office. You will work part of the time in the office & part of the time remote / work-from-home. #LI-Hybrid

Pay Transparency :
The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, & Washington is : $192,000 - $252,000 per year.
The base pay for this role in all other locations is : $172,800- $226,800 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscars unlimited vacation program, company equity grants & annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Budgeting & Forecasting : Drive business-unit-specific, consolidated budget & re-forecasting processes to ensure alignment with operating plan, external guidance, & overall financial targetsProvide valuable insights of performance on an ongoing basis to leadership.
- Management Reporting : Lead the production & analysis of monthly, quarterly, & annual management reports, highlighting key trends & variances for leadership & investor relations.
- Allocation Frameworks : Develop & support cost allocation management & frameworks that align with the operating model.
- Financial Analysis : Execute business-unit financial strategy including the identification, validation, & tracking of initiatives that improve overall financial performance.
- Strategy Evaluation Drive multi-year strategy planning process in close partnership with business-unit leadership, including ownership of all investment / business cases, evaluation of strategic growth opportunities, etc.
- Systems & Processes : Drive internal finance processes & strategy, including oversight of financial planning system(s) & allocations, integrity of raw financial data & granular reporting capabilities.
- Financial Innovation : Consistently evaluate FP&A processes, systems, & tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, & strategic analysis.
- Leadership : Develop, manage, & coach a high performing finance team; own cross-functional Finance team processes on ad hoc basis.
- Communication & Collaboration : Communicate financial results, trends, & recommendations to leadership, employees, & other stakeholders in a clear & concise manner.
- Compliance with all applicable laws & regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of public or large company experience in FP&A roles with healthcare, insurance, or financial services strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of demonstrated ability using expert financial modeling skills to effectively translate data into actionable insights, strategies, & financial plans.
- 5+ years of experience leading budgeting & planning processes.
- 5+ years of proficiency with building & enhancing core FP&A tools.
- 5+ years of proven ability to build & develop high-functioning finance teams.
Bonus Points
- Masters Degree; Business Administration, Finance, or Financial Analysis.
- Experience at a public company.
- Experience in the managed care, healthcare or insurance space.
- Proficiency in SQL / BigQuery to analyze large data sets.
- Proficiency working with NetSuite & Adaptive.
- Strong analytical & problem solving mindset.
- Excellent communication skills & executive presence.

Pay Transparency : Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, & experience.
