We have an immediate opening for a Patient Account Coordinator!
Hours : M-F 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM
Pay : $20-24 / hour
Location : Onsite in New Brighton, MN
Position Overview : The Patient Account Coordinator is responsible for managing all new patient accounts, coordinating service schedules, maintaining customer files, and producing delivery paperwork.
This role requires handling inbound and outbound customer communications professionally and courteously while adhering to all HIPAA guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of healthcare products, services, funding sources, and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities :
- Process all new patient accounts efficiently and accurately.
- Coordinate the scheduling of services for assigned sales representatives.
- Maintain customer files and produce all necessary delivery paperwork.
- Handle inbound and outbound customer calls, emails, and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Address and resolve customer concerns or issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with customers to understand their needs.
- Provide clear and concise information to customers on products, services, and processes.
- Accurately load all patient information into the working system, generating all necessary documentation.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of products and services, funding sources, and company policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of specific requirements of contracted providers.
- Continuously update knowledge on industry trends and customer service best practices.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements :
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience in the industry.
- Must have 2 years of call center experience within the healthcare industry.
- Familiarity with insurance rules and regulations preferred.
- Ability to multitask.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Basic Microsoft skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
