Knowledge, skills, and abilities required :
ERP experience in a manufacturing environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Analytical mind with excellent problem- solving abilities.
Knowledge of materials, components, surface treatments, manufacturing processes
Strong networking abilities
Striving for long term partnerships
German as a 2nd language is beneficial
Ability to lead, manage and communicate with all levels of the business
High competency level in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, as a minimum).
Responsibilities :
Ensure timely creation and release of Purchase Orders for components, parts, materials and services to support the master schedule
Collaborate with Project Management and Produciton Planning to drive fulfillment activities and ensure on-time delivery
Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution, including managing scheduling changes
Keep ERP system up-to-date, including updating scheduling changes and cancelations
Support sourcing initiatives, including lead time reduction, life cycle cost, payment terms and quality improvements
Identify and acquire new suppliers to continously improve our Supply Chain base
Provide technical guidance to suppliers toward assuring product / process compliance with engineering drawings and specifications
Negotiate purchasing agreements with vendors for high volume or long-term contracts
Establish strategic partnerships with key vendors who are aligned to the company's needs
Participate in customer meetings together with our Project Management to discuss schedules and provide status reports
Education :
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technical, Business, Supply Chain or related fields with at least 3 years of experience preferably within an Engineering / Manufacturing environment.
Or High School Diploma / GED with at least 5 years previous experience in a Purchasing role - preferably within an Engineering / Manufacturing environment."
