Integrative counseling organization seeking energetic, organized, highly-focused, reliable, qualified candidate to provide administrative and billing support to our team.
Candidate must be able to problem-solve, create processes and track systems, organize, and demonstrate a great attitude independent of direct oversight.
Processes all incoming / outgoing clients, monitors patient flow, answers telephone to company standards, schedules and confirms appointments, and processes insurance information.
The candidate must have current knowledge of professional billing experience with multiple commercial insurance companies (CMS-1500) including CPT and ICD10 and have prior experience utilizing online resources to review payer policies and resolve unpaid claims.
This position also requires strong written and verbal skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure customers expectations are exceeded by directing and communicating patient needs effectively and efficiently
- Effectively answer the telephone, schedule patient appointments to company standards
- Effectively greet incoming outgoing clients immediately upon entering the office
- Maximize patient flow, by organizing, tracking and communicating with other clinicians and clients to maintain an efficient office
- Obtain and verify insurance eligibility for all applicable clients
- Submit and edit insurance claims as necessary
- Perform human resources duties and keep personnel records up to date
- Maintain client records
- Processing client intakes (including demographic and insurance information)
- Create marketing tools and content and initiate communication with community partners
- Prepare invoices and engage in collection process
- Complete daily income reports, insurance reports, and ensuring that it properly balances
- Maintain cleanliness and organized appearance of the office space at all times
- Help maintain the attractive appearance of the office
- Attend all office meetings
- Other duties, as assigned
Preferred :
- AA or BA / BS in related field is desirable.
- 2 year minimum of related experience within a similar, fast-paced office environment with medical billing experience
- Demonstrated success in an office environment addressing a broad spectrum of customer requirements and preferences.
- Demonstrated ability to establish positive client / customer rapport and build relationships to establish repeat customer-trends.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the proven ability to manage priorities in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities and ensure that patient commitments / deadlines are met.
- Strong end-user computer skills
