Business Development Manager Job Summary

As a Business Development Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Business Development Manager in driving revenue growth and expanding relationships with food service organizations across the country.

This role involves assisting in the identification of new business opportunities, developing tailored sales strategies, and building strong relationships with national chains, franchises, distributors, and institutional food service providers.

Key responsibilities include :

Assist the Business Development Managers in identifying, developing, and managing new sales prospects within the specified segments.

Your efforts will contribute to solidifying partnerships, expanding market share, and cultivating sustainable growth.

  • Conduct market research to identify potential opportunities and provide insights into industry trends. Assist in the analysis of market data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Managers in developing and implementing go-to-market strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.

Provide input on sales plans and help in executing them.

  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with customers, brokers, and distributors.
  • Work closely with Marketing, R&D, and Finance teams to ensure resources are optimized and profitability is maximized. Assist in the coordination of cross-functional efforts to support business development initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and provide valuable insights for business development
  • Manage day-to-day account operations and resolve logistical, pricing, or operational issues
  • Foster a culture of creativity and innovation through research, networking, and idea generation

Success in this role requires excellent communication skills and a hunger to grow. A proactive and supportive approach to business development, a willingness to learn and grow within the field, and a collaborative spirit to help drive the company’s objectives forward.

This position is ideal for someone looking to start or advance their career in business development in the food industry.

Job Type : Full-Time

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Food Science Degree is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and a strong desire to develop sales and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to conduct market research and analyze data to support business decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create clear and compelling presentations.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and contribute to team success.
  • Strong organizational abilities with the capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • A proactive mindset with a high degree of creativity and innovation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) is essential.
  • Willingness to travel and maintain a flexible work schedule as needed.
