We are in search of a Senior Accountant to join our manufacturing team located in Fremont, Ohio. The role will primarily focus on the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), providing analytical support, process leadership, and assistance in month-end closing, reporting, and budgeting.
You will also be expected to contribute to process improvement and policy implementation related to internal controls.
Responsibilities :
- Serve as a business partner to the corporate finance team, corporate functions, Sales Teams, Operations, and Business Units to support the company’s goals and objectives.
- Develop, interpret, and implement financial and accounting concepts or techniques related to month-end closing, reporting, consolidation, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Provide insightful analytics to drive business results and support decision-making processes.
- Routinely process key financial transactions and analyze financial results.
- Provide insights to cross-functional teams and assist in driving process improvement.
- Implement new policies or requirements associated with internal controls.
- Maintain flexibility in taking on new challenges & responsibilities.
- Develop strong working relationships cross-functionally.
- Use software such as Microsoft Excel, Epicor, and QuickBooks to perform tasks related to account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger management, and journal entries.
- Understand and apply GAAP Accounting principles in all tasks and responsibilities.
- Manage and lead projects as required.
