Reports to : Executive Chef / Sous Chef

Position Summary :

The Line Cook is responsible for cooking and preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a key role in delivering a superior dining experience for members and guests at Naples Heritage Golf and Country Club.

The Line Cook works in coordination with other kitchen staff to ensure dishes are cooked to perfection and presented beautifully.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Cook and prepare food items according to recipes, plating guidelines, and standards of excellence.
  • Manage and maintain assigned cooking station, ensuring that it is well stocked and organized throughout service.
  • Work in collaboration with other line cooks, pantry staff, and sous chefs to execute orders in a timely manner.
  • Follow portion controls and minimize waste in accordance with the club's food cost objectives.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment, strictly following the kitchen's hygiene and food safety guidelines.
  • Uphold high standards of food presentation, ensuring every dish aligns with the club's "Culinary Pride" standards.
  • Assist in daily prep work, including the cutting and preparation of ingredients for the upcoming shifts.
  • Adhere to the "TEAM" philosophy, fostering collaboration, respect, and professionalism within the kitchen.
  • Perform opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned by the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
  • Participate in menu tastings and assist in menu changes as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of seasonal ingredients, cooking techniques, and the club's rotating menu to enhance member satisfaction.

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience as a Line Cook in a fast-paced, high-end restaurant or private club setting.
  • Strong culinary skills with a good understanding of various cooking methods and techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
  • Culinary certification or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
