Medical Coding & Compliance Specialist
We are seeking a Medical Coding & Compliance Specialist to ensure accurate review and coding of clinical information using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
You will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with regulations and securing proper reimbursement. Collaborating with healthcare providers, you will help resolve discrepancies and ensure coding accuracy.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review medical records to assign diagnostic and procedural codes.
- Apply ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on coding guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and payer policies.
- Collaborate with providers to clarify diagnoses and improve documentation.
- Optimize reimbursement through accurate coding and participation in audits.
- Stay current on coding standards, regulations, and payer requirements.
Requirements :
- 2+ years of medical coding experience, preferably in a healthcare or billing environment.
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and HIPAA.
Compensation :
- Salary : $25-28 / hr, based on experience.
- Location : Remote, near Oklahoma City.
