Responsibilities

Summerlin Hospital is a 485-bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month;

a Children’s Medical Center with a NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women’s health and oncology care.

Summerlin Hospital is an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility and a Primary Stroke Center and has received multiple awards from the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines program.

Job Description :

The Assistant Director of Pharmacy manages the operations of Pharmacy Services in a cost-effective manner, including planning for new services, directing day-to-day operations, delegating responsibility and authority for providing services, continuously improving services to meet customer needs, assuring adequate resources are available, and integrating services with other professional services within and outside the medical center to assure continuity of care.

Education :

Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm)

Experience :

Minimum of five years (5) required. Eight to ten years preferred. Prior experience as a director of pharmacy, an assistant director of pharmacy, clinical manager or lead role is required.

Technical Skills :

Thorough knowledge of pharmacy operations. Software skills using MS office, proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel, some knowledge of MS Access is required.

Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features i.e., optimization, load / unload, nursing narcotic.

License / Certification :

Current Pharmacist license in the State of Nevada

Compensation Range :

$ 125,354.49 - $ 166,094.70 / SALARY
