Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation of Company safety, health, and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed.
• Commitment to the Company’s policies, principles, and procedures including Environmental, Health and Safety ( EH&S ), Equal Employment Opportunity ( EEO ), discipline / corrective action, and security.
• Must follow directions from Manager(s).
• Inspect facilities and all production machines periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance requirements.
• Prepare weekly machine maintenance schedules and allocate work to maintenance team members.
• Lead outside tradesman as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels of parts, materials, and tools needed and report to manager(s).
• Ensure tasks delegated by manager(s) are carried out and verify processes are being done correctly through the shift.
• Assist production operators with machines and processes when necessary.
• Ensure PPE standards are being adhered to and perform checklist duties daily.
• Handle assorted projects when tasked.
• Communicate any issues that arise effectively to manager(s).
• Ensure safe operation of machines by all employees while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Back up to Maintenance manager as needed.

Additional Requirements

• Math skills
• Ability to operate material handling and tools required to perform tasks.
• Must be flexible OT and weekend are required as needed.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

Education

High School diploma or equivalent trade school

Experience

• Minimum of 5-7 years in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to operate a forklift and / or material handling equipment for 2-3 years

Physical Requirements - Essential

• Must be in good physical condition.
• Must be able to stand and / or bend for long periods of time (varied based on daily tasks).
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
