Overview : We are currently seeking a creative, energetic professional to join our fast-paced Communications and Development Team.

This position will report to the Chief Advancement Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision and implementation of Family Centers’ digital communications strategies and tactics.

During key times of the year, this professional will also work closely with the Development team to promote special events and assist with event execution.

The Role

  • Play a key role in the refinement of Family Centers’ digital marketing strategy in order to maximize the agency’s reach to key audiences.
  • Oversee all Family Centers’ social media platforms and generate appropriate content to highlight the organization’s programmatic outcomes, fundraising efforts, special events and general agency news.
  • Analyze and act on e-marketing and social media trends in order to grow key audiences and produce relevant content.
  • Produce short and long-form videos for use on Family Centers’ website, social media platforms and other e-marketing vehicles.
  • Process owner for Family Centers’ email marketing efforts, including database management and the creation and distribution of regular e-blasts, a monthly e-newsletter and other email marketing pieces.
  • Update Family Centers’ website content.
  • Design marketing pieces and other programmatic or agency-related collateral (printed and digital) as needed.
  • Serve as a primary organization photographer, and manage Family Centers digital photo archives.
  • Assist in the production of Family Centers’ Annual Report, which includes conducting client interviews for testimonials, organizing photos and conceptualizing design elements.
  • Draft press releases and other media alerts as needed.
  • Assist with communication strategies to promote fundraising efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor of Arts or Science preferably in Marketing, Public Relations or Communications.
  • At least 3 years of e-marketing or communications experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal and computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
  • The ideal candidate should be flexible, collaborative, creative, detail-oriented, organized, and exhibit excellent customer service skills.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends is necessary and will vary throughout the year.
  • Ability to effectively interact with a myriad of internal and external constituents in a professional manner, including but not limited to key donors, board members and volunteers.

Preferred

  • Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Canva and other graphic design software.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish speaker.
