Contextual Note :
Under Our Time To Act's commitment to housing justice, there are three teams : Eliminating Exclusionary Zoning, Enacting Social Housing, and Ending Youth Homelessness. The teams focused on Eliminating Exclusionary Zoning and Enacting Social Housing will primarily utilize grassroots organizing, while the Ending Youth Homelessness team will focus on research and advocacy, with opportunities to learn additional skills. Job Summary :
Housing Justice Team Members will develop skills in organizing, mobilizing, and advocating for housing justice through peer learning and leadership opportunities. Responsibilities include educational campaigns, direct actions, and supporting research and advocacy efforts.
Key activities include :
Expected commitment is approximately 10 hours per week, mostly flexible, with some weekends and increased hours during campaigns.
Pay Rate :
This position is voluntary with no monetary compensation. Benefits include tailored experience, training, mentorship, letters of recommendation, and a supportive community.
Desired Start Date :
As soon as possible, with priority for those able to start before January 15th, 2025.
