The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology has opened one part-time, temporary Lecturer position.
We are interested in individuals who can teach one 3-credit hour course EEB 411 Biostatistics / EEB 560 Biometry for the Department.
This course is offered in Spring 2024 (January 1 May 31, 2024) and is in-person. This part-time temporary lecturer position is compensated at $8,000 per course per semester.
The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, sits on the Eastern side of the state, nestled between the Cumberland Mountains and the Smoky Mountains.
The Smoky Mountain National Park is less than an hour’s drive from Knoxville. Knoxville is a dynamic mid-sized city that is located three hours from Nashville and Atlanta, with airport service to several hubs.
The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology is one of the premiere EEB departments in the nation, with numerous faculty, graduate students, and postdocs engaged in exciting research and committed to quality teaching.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate for this position will hold a Ph.D. (by date of appointment) in a Life Science discipline, with meaningful coursework in areas related to biostatistics.
The candidate should have demonstrated teaching excellence and experience with innovative, high-quality pedagogical practices.
Documented professional development related to teaching and learning is desirable.
