Job Description : *
We are seeking a skilled Confluent Kafka Platform Engineer to join our team in Irvine, CA. This role requires you to be onsite 3 days a week (Tues-Thurs) with no exceptions.
Candidates must already reside in the Irvine area, as we are not considering relocation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Upgrade and maintain the Confluent Kafka platform from its current version to the latest release.
- Provide hands-on expertise with Kafka Brokers and understand their underlying functionality.
- Manage and understand the Schema Registry, including its implementation and functionality.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of Kafka client producer and consumer functionality.
- Collaborate with development teams, product managers, operations teams, and architect groups to design and implement technical solutions for Kafka on-premises and Confluent Cloud platforms.
- Support Confluent Kafka on AWS cloud.
- Utilize Developer SRE experience with Java Spring Boot, Python, Terraform, and AWS.
- Basic Qualifications : *
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with the Confluent Event Streaming Platform (Confluent Kafka), including KSQL DB and Kafka connectors.
- Minimum 6 years of Developer / SRE experience with Java Spring Boot, Python, Terraform, and AWS.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with Apache Kafka.
