Job Description and Duties

The incumbent performs laboratory testing of specimens submitted to the Clinical Laboratory. Competent, experienced and working knowledge of all areas of the Clinical Laboratory (Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, and Phlebotomy).

Reports abnormal / critical value per policy.

This position is not eligible for telework, this position is in person only.

Working Conditions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Incumbent must possess and maintain sufficient strength (lift up to 50 lbs.), agility, endurance and sensory ability to perform the duties contained in the duty statement, including walking distances, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting, sitting / standing for prolonged periods of time.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS : Ongoing interaction and contact with clients, nursing staff, other disciplines, and the general public.

Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens and other conditions common to a clinical nursing environment.

May require sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time.

Special Requirements

Selected candidates are subject to special requirements. This position is required to complete a medical evaluation.
