Whittier College invites applications for a fixed term Lecturer of Math and Computer Science.
This position will be a full-time, one-year appointment position for the 2024-2025 Academic Year, to begin in August 2024.

Exempt Status : Exempt
Full-Time / Part-Time status : Full-time, one-year appointment (potential for renewal)
Salary Range : $67,; Salary will be commensurate with experience, skills and knowledge.
Reports to : Department Chair
Location / Department : Whittier College Main Campus; Department of Mathematics & Computer Science, Science & Learning Center building
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Math, Computer Science, or other closely related field (ABDs may be considered). A Master’s degree with significant college-level teaching experience or similar will also be considered.
Teaching experience is preferred. Teaching responsibilities include :
- Math courses primarily at the calculus level or below, and
- Introductory computer science courses (Introduction to Computer Systems).
Candidates with expertise in either Mathematics or Computer Science are welcome to apply. A successful candidate will have earned a Ph.
D. in Math, Computer Science, or other closely related field (ABDs may be considered). A master’s degree with significant college-level teaching experience or similar will also be considered.
