Summary
The Lead Biomed Repair Technician maintains medical equipment management standards within established policies and procedures.
Essential duties include installing, repairing, and maintaining medical equipment within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling from one facility to another.
The Lead Biomed Repair Technician will train and mentor new and existing employees.
Job Requirements
Education Required : Associates Degree in a Related Field OR completion of Military Biomedical training program. Required : Needs to have a minimum of two manufacturer-level service seminars completed.
Preferred : Bachelor’s Degrees in Electronics Technology or Biomedical Technology
- Experience Required : 2 years of Biomedical Equipment Services experience
- Skills Knowledge of electronic theory and basic safety procedures. Learn and appropriately utilize all required computer applications, including but not limited to e-mail, medical equipment management software and inventory tracking software.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate ideas clearly both orally and in writing to hospital staff, vendors, patients and patients’ families.
Ability to utilize manufacturer’s service and operators manuals and other documentation. Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair basic to advanced clinical electronic and electromechanical equipment.
Ability to train and mentor Interns and Tech I technicians.
