Have you got what it takes to succeed The following information should be read carefully by all candidates.

Maintain a stable environment for adults with mental health and / or substance use challenges. This is a part-time position that works at Assist, a hospital diversion program that supports adults having a mental health crisis.

This is a unique opportunity to gain a broad level of experience in the fields of substance use and mental health. Awake overnights.

Responsibilities :

• Provide supportive counseling, medication management, and crisis intervention
• Help residents strengthen coping and symptom management skills
• Maintain the overall functioning and cleanliness of the programs
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals
• Provide short-term case management and referrals to appropriate levels of care
• Facilitate groups
• Administer medication

Requirements :

• One year of experience in the social service field
• Valid driver's License and use of a personal vehicle
• Ability to work after hours, holidays, and overnight shifts, flexibility in willingness to cover urgent / emergency coverage shifts and callouts

Structure :

• Part-time (30-32 hours)
• Awake overnights
• Non-exempt
• Union
• Starting at $21.66 an hour with shift differential
• We offer a competitive salary commensurate to experience
• Generous time off starting at 36 days of combined time off per year for full-time employees (and increasing with years of service);

pro-rated for positions 16 hours or more
