Certified Nursing Assistant 0.01 FTE Night

The CNA 2 / HUC is a key person within the decentralized nursing unit, who provides overall administrative and technical support in the operation of the unit;

collaborates with other staff and leaders in the development, oversight, and operation of the unit; and performs CNA II patient care duties.

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories :

CLERICAL : Initiates and prioritizes transcription of provider orders. Assembles and maintains patient charts, current forms and results / reports.

COMMUNICATION : Serves as the hub of all communication for the unit. Displays professional interpersonal skills when communicating with patients, public and staff.

Serves as front-line customer service representative.

Required qualifications :

Coursework / Training and Health Unit Coordinator or secretarial coursework along with a medical terminology course or experience.

Or Health Unit Coordinator : 1 year experience performing secretarial duties in a health care environment.

  • Coursework / Training and Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care
  • CNA 2 course. Or CNA 2 coursework : Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements.
  • Upon hire : Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License
  • Upon hire : National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Experience with a variety of software applications.

Preferred qualifications :

  • 1 year of Acute care hospital experience, ideally performing CNA and / or Health Unit Coordinator duties.
  • 1 year of experience as a CNA 2.
