The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care and
coordinates all functions in the unit / department during the designated shift. In collaboration with
other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in
accordance with established policies / procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a
commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient
experience and clinical outcomes.
Requirements :
- 2 years of recent acute care Charge Nurse Open Heart (CVOR) experience required
- Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of employment start date
- Bachelor’s Degree, Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification before employment start date
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of employment start date
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of employment start date
- Neonatal Resuscitate certification within 30 days of employment start date

Shift : Days (Rotating Weekends)
Responsibilities :
- Accept accountability for directing and overseeing staff roles on the unit
- Coordinate patient placement within the unit according to acuity, skill mix, and staff availability
- Assist in identifying and addressing educational needs of the unit
- Participate and direct patient care conferences, addressing patient discharge needs
- Ensure that rounds are made with physicians and stay informed of patient condition changes, making appropriate clinical decisions
- Ensure that orders are appropriate and carried out in a timely manner
