Pascack Valley Medical Center has been awarded the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission in the area of Orthopedics (hip and knee), Sepsis and for Stroke.

In addition, the medical center is a designated Stroke Center. Pascack Valley Medical Center is committed to offering excellent care to the local community through various hospital services including a Women's Center, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center, Imaging and Diagnostics, Sleep Center, a Wound Care Center and a Center for Joint Replacement.

In 2016, Pascack Valley Medical Center opened a brand new Emergency Department featuring over 22,000 square feet with all private exam rooms, fast track rooms for more efficient care and state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

Responsibilities

Position Summary :

Physical Therapists provide services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease.

They restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness and health. Their patients include anyone who suffers from physical limitation.

Therapists examine patients' medical histories and then test and measure the patients' strength, range of motion, balance and coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor function.

They develop appropriate treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals.

Qualifications

Position Qualifications :

Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred

Minimum Work Experience - 1 years' experience required (this requirement will be waived with a strong recommendation from an acute care or outpatient clinical affiliation);

2 years' experience preferred.

Experience with electronic health records a plus

Required Licenses / Certifications - Current, valid NJ State Physical Therapy License.

• Maintains American Heart Association Basic Life Support HCP Certification.
