Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Change Control Specialist. In this role, you will own and drive the Change Order (CO), Change Request (CR) and Project Change Request (PCR) Processes for all functional groups within Veolia WTS Analytical Instruments located in Boulder, CO.

As you drive to implement changes, you will work closely with the Aftermarket, Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Product Management, Project Management, Quality, and Technology departments.

In this position, you will enable new product introductions as well as product and process improvements through effective change control processes & governance.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • As the Change Control process owner, you are responsible for the development, optimization and continuous improvement of Veolia Analytical Instrument’s suite of Change Control processes (CO, CR, PCR) as well as all tools, templates and activities necessary for successful implementation.
  • Lead the Change Order Process through governance and oversight. This includes facilitating implementation meetings, weekly Change Control status meetings, and expediting any high priority requests.
  • Effective cross-functional communication with Aftermarket, Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Product Management, Project Management, Quality, and Technology teams is required to ensure that the change order information and activities are correctly processed and executed.
  • Serve as the final reviewer of Change Order (CO) & Project Change Request (PCR) packages for quality assurance, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all materials, documents, and Bills of Material.

This encompasses a comprehensive review process to confirm that all components are properly formatted, approved, and at the correct revision level, adhering to industry-standard document control best practices.

  • Optimize and manage change order workflows including CO kick-off, approval and implementation efforts to assure timely approvals and successful implementation of changes.
  • Create training materials and provide guidance and support for new (and current) employees on change control processes including :
  • Change Order and Change Request processes
  • Using SAP for creating and revising materials, documents, BOMs
  • Project Change Request process for changes to final or frozen project scope, budget, quality or timeline attributes.
  • Support all departments as needed to improve CR / PCR / CO process efficiency through targeted training and tactical support when necessary.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and execute complex queries to provide stakeholders with insightful analyses regarding the current status and performance metrics of relevant change processes and operations.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Required :

  • Relevant 4 yr College Degree and 3 years experience preferred, or Associate Degree and 5 years experience in Change Control and Technical Document Management (Process & Tools).
  • Experience and understanding of business process development, execution and optimization methodologies.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP System.

Preferred :

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Project Management methodologies.
  • Experience with Software Development methodologies.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • Process documentation and optimization.
  • Workflow Management experience.
  • Comprehensive SAP experience.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Comfortable working in Google Workspace including use of Google Docs, Google Sheets, GMail, Google Drive and Sites as well as Microsoft Office 365.

Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity.

Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range : $70,000 - 85,000 annually.
