Write and provide administrative support for maintenance procedure card (MPC) documents related to US Coast Guard surface Fleet logistics.
Support the Coast Guard MPC development and reliability process. Develop, update, and administer the maintenance procedure cards in accordance with Joint MPC Development Process Guide CGTO PG-85-00-230 (Series) and associated desk guide.

Oral and written communication skills to prepare complete, logically arranged, and legally defensible technical documents.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines and work independently. Ability to edit and proofread work of colleagues, especially of detailed technical documentation and reports.
Working knowledge of all standard office equipment (phones, computers, scanners, copiers, etc.) as well as Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication skills with all team members and agency personnel. Ability to work in a team environment that requires collaborating with others to solve problems and develop innovative solutions often working with a diverse group of people that are geographically dispersed.
Working knowledge of varying Coast Guard processes, principles, and tools such as databases used to review, maintain, and update cutter maintenance records.
An understanding of how potential maintenance procedure changes may affect Coast Guard systems. Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) concepts, level of repair analysis (LORA), level of maintenance analysis (LOMA) and readiness-based sparing (RBS) models.
Desired Skills Working knowledge of Coast Guard tools and databases : CG-22 form and process, Fleet Logistics System (FLS), Naval & Electronics Supply Support System (NESSS), Electronic Asset Logbook (EAL), CG-LIMS STIP, SFLC Central, MPC Electronic Routing tools, and CG-LIMS.
Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) certification or equivalent. Background in technology and / or engineering. Job Duties Conduct data calls to the fleet to acquire knowledge of system usage and operation.
Research technical and supply data for various systems in icebreaker, buoy, and construction tender (IBCT) assets. Provide technical recommendations for technical publication updates.
Review drawings for accuracy; provide technical recommendations for drawing updates. Perform ship visits to obtain or validate technical information for inclusion in MPCs.
Format technical information to align with the approved process and develop clear procedures to conduct required maintenance.
Modify graphics and tables to meet approval criteria. Use information technology systems and databases to develop and route work products for maintenance development processes.
Experience and Education Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years of experience writing, reviewing, and editing maintenance and technical documents and presentations.
Minimum of an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university. Work Location Baltimore, MD on-site at a Federal Government client.
