Job Title : Project Scientist IIIJob Location : Hybrid role (3 days in the office is required)Duration : (10 months) Job Description : This position will work within the Environmental Permitting in support of FirstEnergy operations.
The position will be tasked with conducting and / or managing a range of environmental and engineering-related endeavors associated with construction of transmission lines, substations and renewable energy.
Tasks will include but not be limited to obtaining environmental permits (federal, state, local, etc.), leading environmental compliance, developing and negotiating mitigation strategies, threatened and endangered species consultation, erosion and sedimentation control plan development / review, stormwater management, avoidance and minimization measures, impact assessments, and regulatory / governmental agency coordination.

Four-year degree in a related discipline required, with a minimum 8 years related professional work experience, advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
