Description
of the position
The Engineering Department is hiring a teaching assistant (TA) to assist with CHEM150 : General Chemistry for Engineers and Scientists.
The TA will work 5-10 hours per week during the Fall 2024 semester. The primary responsibility of the TA will be to grade homework assignments and hold office hours to help students with homework.
The instructor will provide rubrics and guidance on the grading. Homework assignments must be graded promptly and returned to the instructor in one week.
The required qualifications are successful completion ofCHEM 150 and CHEM 151 or CHEM 111, 113 and upper-level chemistry coursework.
Previous TA experience is preferred.
Compensation : $18.67 / hr
