Colonial Country Club, managed by Bobby Jones Links, is hiring for Pro Shop Attendants. Home to a Gene Hamm designed 18 hole golf course for more than 50 years, Colonial Country Club is a private club steeped in tradition and known for its well-appointed amenities providing family-friendly programming and superior member service.

Located in Thomasville, North Carolina, just moments away from the Piedmont Triad, Colonial Country Club is a family-oriented club with an extensive pool complex, fine dining, and a multitude of activities.

Responsibilities of the Pro Shop Attendant at Colonial Country Club include :

• Assisting with a monthly golf staff meeting that covers training, customer service, progress since the prior month, and basic financials that pertains to the entire golf department.
• Assisting the Head Golf Professional in planning, promoting, and directing all golf activities.
• Developing merchandise sales and promotions during holidays, specials events, and times when sales are slow.
• Ordering supplies for the golf shop as director by the Head Golf Professional.
• Assisting the Head Golf Professional with all tournament operations.
• Maintaining all logs (comp, rain check, monthly range, etc).
• Completing customer transactions.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and club point of sales systems.
• Understanding of Club financials.
• Evaluation of customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
• Knowledge of shop inventory.
• Attention to detail.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to :

• Walk and or stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push / pull, move lighter objects.

• Be exposed to outside weather conditions including temperatures over 90 and below 40 degrees.
• Work near : moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals.
