Position Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary :
The Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist, or Licensed Masters Level Psychologist in this position provides a court-ordered forensic evaluations for competency to stand trial to defendants incarcerated in county jails within the State of Kansas via tele-video.
This psychologist must demonstrate age- and culture-specific treatment and assessment competencies, and be competent in the provision of psychological services needed as described in LSH’s policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following :
- Completes competency to stand trial evaluations of inmates detained in Kansas jails using tele-video conferencing
- Authors forensic evaluation reports of individuals assessed for competency to stand trial
- Documentation of services provided as required by the hospital’s Medical Records Systems Manual
- Maintains licensure
- Serves as an expert witness when subpoenaed
Qualifications
Licensing & Certification : LMLP, LCP, or LP license in the State of Kansas
Minimum Qualifications :
Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology
LMLP, LCP, or LP license in the State of Kansas
Approved drug test
Security clearance
Preferred Qualifications :
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements : Ability to pass a KBI background and pre-employment drug test.
