Duty Description Serve as the DoD Identity Intelligence (I2) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to coordinate I2 policy, programmatic, analytic, and technical architectural activities to support the Department, lnteragency, Joint Staff, Intelligence Community, and international partners.
The position serves as a primary advisor to the Chief, Identity Intelligence Division (I2D) for coordinating collection, processing, exploitation, databasing / dissemination (CPED), all-source Identity Intelligence (I2) analysis, and integration within DoD I2 and biometric, capabilities, policies, plans, processes, architectures, doctrine, and operational support activities.
The JDA will provide regular updates, through the Chief, I2D, to the Director, Counterintelligence and I2 (CI2), Director for Defense Intelligence (Counterintelligence, Law Enforcement, and Security (DDl(CL&S), concerning the integration and operational use of Defense I2 capabilities (data-sharing, analysis and production, watchlisting, I2 knowledge bases, policies, plans, strategies, processes, procedures, reporting, and operational support requirements) outlined in DoDD (Defense I2).
The I2 SME will assist and / or lead the drafting, staffing, and review of DoD strategies, agreements, policies, plans, working groups, steering committees, and memorandums (Information, Decision, Coordination) to promulgate I2 tradecraft, processes, procedures, and operations across the Department;
primarily, to support the 2022 National Defense Strategy, 2025-2029 Defense Intelligence and Security Planning Guidance, and to address I2 gaps in strategic intelligence matters.
Further, the Officer will contribute to weekly OUSD(l&S) staff engagements, updates, working groups (monthly Defense Intelligence Enterprise - I2, bi-monthly Counterintelligence - I2 Integration, DoD Watchlisting, Interagency Biometric) and Defense Intelligence All-Source Analysis Enterprise production meetings to facilitate cross-I2 enterprise coordination and I2 support to scheduled and adhoc internal / external staffing and production requirements.
The Officer will increase awareness of DoD I2 capabilities by representing OUSD(I&S) I2 equities at Department, Joint Staff, Service, Combatant Command (CCMD), Intelligence Community (IC), lnteragency, and other national-level meetings, working groups, conferences, and engagements.
Additionally, the Officer will build, foster, and maintain relationships and collaborate with the Joint Staff, CCMDs, DoD Services, National Intelligence Management Council, DoD warfighters, Defense Intelligence Enterprise analytic elements, and other Offices of the Secretary of Defense, IC, Office of Director of National Intelligence, or DIA resource elements as required to identify links and fill Military Intelligence Program (MIP) I2 resource gaps to support Joint Force mission requirements, pursuant to national policies (National Security Presidential Memorandums - 7, 9, and 59 and Homeland Security Presidential Memorandum 6 and 24) and implementation guidance.

Minimum Qualifications Required Intelligence Specialist (0132) assigned to a Combat Support Agency or Service Intelligence Center.
Knowledgeable in DoD Identity Intelligence policy, procedures, and authorities.
Experience providing intelligence support to Human Signatures operations.
Knowledge of joint and interagency I2 / Human Signatures programs and operations.
Expert level communication skills.
Able to effectively represent the priorities, authorities, and missions of the DoD I2 enterprise to the intelligence community and non-DoD organizations.
