Our Urologyoutpatient practice is seeking a motivated and energetic LPN tojoin our dedicated team of healthcare providers!
The Division of Urology is one of the busiestpractice sites in the Albany Med System. There are currently 12Physicians and 5 Advanced Practice Practitioners in the Practice.
We are located in 3 sites which include Clifton Park, Schenectadyand our Main Site in Albany at the Albany Medical Center SouthClinical Campus on Hackett Boulevard.
The Practice performs severalin-office procedures which many staff seem to enjoy as it keepsthem moving and always learning andteaching.
Under the direction of the attendingphysician, RN, Lead LPN or practice coordinator, the LPN willprovide direct patient care and assist in the following clinicalfunctions to allproviders.
Essential Duties andResponsibilities :
Obtainsand accurately record patient's vitalsigns
Documents componentsof patient'shistory
Communicates in anopen and appropriate manner with patients, visitors andstaff
Participates inin-office procedures under the direction and supervision of alicensed healthcareprovider
Performs diagnosticCLIA waived testing
Performsvenipuncture to obtain blood for labtesting
Prescriptioncall-backs per scope ofpractice
Preps patient'schart for pertinent clinicalinformation
Maintainsinventory of supplies, and keeps patient examination roomsstocked
Adheres to AMC'sregulatory complianceissues
Qualifications :
HighSchool Diploma / G.E.D. -required
Previous experiencein a patient care setting -preferred
Excellent verbaland written communicationskills.
Ability toeffectively present information and respond to questions fromphysicians, patients and their family members or other employeeswithin the work setting.
