Position Overview :
We are currently seeking a full-time Survey Crew Technician in our Kansas City office. Our survey department is vital to our Company and surveys a wide array of projects.

Main Duties and Responsibilities :
- Will be a working member of a field crew performing boundary, topographic, ALTA, right-of-way and construction surveys
- Maintain and operate survey equipment such as, levels, total stations, GPS equipment and data collectors
- Prepare field notes, sketches and calculations to complete field work
- Able to operate basic functions and software of a computer such as, Word, Adobe, Note Pad and company administrative software
- Prepare detailed daily job reports and discuss projects with supervisor on daily basis
- Review and download field data
- Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation
- Based on experience perform other duties as assigned
Requirements :
- High School Diploma required
- Associate degree preferred but not required
- Land Surveyor in Training preferred but not required
- Knowledge of survey calculations, techniques, and procedures
- Valid driver’s license
- 3-5 years of experience in land surveying
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Physical Demands and Work Environment :
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This position requires the ability to perform moderate physical work and to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. The ability to use a shovel, axe, hammer, pick, machete and other hand tools used to complete survey projects.
The field crew will work year around outside in all kinds of weather.
