Salary :
2nd Shift Monday-Friday 2pm-10 : 30pm
3rd Shift Sunday-Thursday 10pm-6 : 30am
Direct Hire role that is benefit eligible after 30 days.

As a machinist / operator at Precision Swiss, a division of Abrasive Technology, you will craft intricate and precise components for diverse markets.

Duties and responsibilities :
- Set CNC machine origins in accordance with the set-up instructions and blueprints.
- Work to CNC machine dimensions and maintain close tolerances.
- Set and load all tools in conjunction with set-up instructions to complete all assigned jobs on CNC Milling machines.
- Ability to use inspection equipment such as calipers / micrometer / profile projector.
- Problem solves to resolve any deviations from work instructions.
- Be part of a small but friendly, tight-knit team.
- Ability to multitask, work fast with accuracy in an unstructured environment.
- Accurately document setup and production information and any deviations or adjustments made during the process. Maintain detailed records for traceability and future reference.
- Design fixtures when required.
- Provide programs from Engineering drawings to fabricate various material throughout the machine shop.
- Troubleshoot programs and tooling to optimize cycle times with a strong consideration for quality.
- Follow all company safety policies and practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications :
- 2+ years’ experience required as a Machinist or equivalent education from a trade school or vocational program with 1-3 years of experience.
- Experience reading a blueprint and completing part inspections to match the print.
- Be a self-starter with the ability to work with little direction.
- Attention to detail and reliability are a must.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Desired qualifications :
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience with Tsugami CNC Swiss Machines, MO8, and / or Hyundai CNC Mill a plus.
- Prior experience with CMM a plus.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Physical requirements :
- Ability to run multiple machines each shift.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a consistent basis.
- Stand for 4+ hours a day
