Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities :
Places and maintains decals on vehicles, checks and replaces batteries, rotates, repairs, and replaces tires, washes, polishes, and cleans interiors and exteriors of vehicles, drains, flushes, and replaces engine, transmission, and differential grease and oils, checks, cleans, calibrates, and replaces spark plugs, cleans and replaces oil and air filters.
Adjusts brakes, replaces windshield wipers, and similar minor parts, assists on major overhaul jobs by disassembling and cleaning parts, repairing components such as generators and water pumps, and replacing thermostats, points, electrical wiring and other items, maintains tools and equipment, and cleans work areas.
Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
Must have a minimum of two (2) years of entry-level automotive maintenance experience.
Must be knowledgeable in . Army maintenance procedures and AR 750-1.
Must have the ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
Must be able to bring and use your own tools.
Must have a minimum of a high school diploma / GED.
Must be able to receive a favorable Tier 1 investigation result.
Must have physical requirements to include - (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.
Desired Qualifications :
ASE Certification.
CDL Preferred.
Army 91 series MOS qualification or civilian equivalent.
Valid Driver’s License.
Pay & Bonuses :
Hourly Compensation : $19.03.
Retention (not Sign-on) bonus of $5,000 upon completion of 500 hours.
Completion Bonus of up to $7,000 (pro-rated bonus based on the total hours worked).
