Join our team as an Assistant Occupational Therapist where you will work under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to patients.
You will assist in helping patients improve basic motor functions, reasoning abilities, and performing tasks in their daily living and working environments.
Your responsibilities will include participating in therapy sessions, documenting patient progress, communicating with the healthcare team, and providing education to patients and caregivers.
- Provide treatment under the direction of the Occupational Therapist
- Document patient progress according to department standards
- Communicate with healthcare team and participate in interdisciplinary conferences
- Provide education to patients and caregivers
Qualifications :
- Associate's Degree in a therapy assistant program
- Previous therapy assistance experience preferred
- LIC-Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Upon Hire
- CRT-Occupational Therapy Assistant, Certified (COTA) - NB-COT Upon Hire required
- LIC-Driver's License - State of Michigan (Home Care only) Upon Hire required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
This position requires physical demands including lifting, carrying, and standing. Training will be provided to ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
