Job Summary :

The Plant Manager oversees the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring the production goals are met, quality standards are maintained, and the overall plant performance is optimized.

The position provides overall direction and guidance to the operational activities with the objective of maximizing growth and profitability as well as day-to-day leadership and management of this site.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Oversees all plant employees, having direct reports.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Provide strong leadership to the plant team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Implement efficient production strategies, identify bottlenecks, and optimize workflows to enhance overall productivity.
  • Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing plant operations.
  • Develop and manage the plant budget, working to optimize costs while maintaining high operational standards.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality or safety.
  • Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations.
  • Manage production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years proven manufacturing management experience, preferably in a plastics environment.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
  • Management or supervisory experience desirable.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and MS Office applications.

  • Vision abilities required are close, peripheral and depth. Must have the ability to recognize color.

Work Environment :

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential job functions.

Employees regularly work near moving, vibrating, mechanical equipment, occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

Exposed to minimal risk of electrical shock. The noise level is moderate.
