Responsible for the timely daily delivery of a variety of products to several of our own businesses throughout State College.
Duties & Responsiblities :
- Maintains a Guest focus while performing duties
- Assumes 100% responsibility for inventory quality of deliveries
- Completes and files delivery paperwork in a timely manner.
- Loads, unloads, and distributes products to appropriate locations.
- Coordinates pickup and delivery times for non-Dante’s products - ie : Meyer Diary, Sam’s Club, Liquor Store
- Maintains cleanliness and repair of delivery vehicle according to daily and weekly check list.
- Completes all opening and closing duties according to documented check lists.
- Completes daily cleaning duties as according to documented check lists.
- Documents any and all product shortages and / or damaged goods.
- Maintains security of all properties involved.
- Immediately notifies Director of Operations and Comptroller of any / all accidents involving delivery vehicle.
- Immediately notified Director of Operations and Comptroller of any / all repair and maintenance needs on delivery vehicle as a result of daily / weekly check according to check lists.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the company.
- Communicates clearly with co-workers, supervisors and managers of all Dante’s locations.
Qualifications :
- Must posses a positive attitude and work well with other team members
- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
- Must posses a valid PA drivers license with a clear driving record.
- Must be able to work unsupervised.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, reach, bend and stoop.
- Be able to transport product up and down stairways.
- Be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed.
