An outstanding primary school in Thurrock, Essex is currently looking for a bright and enthusiastic graduate Teaching Assistant to join them in teaching assistant position.
The primary school is hoping to fill the vacancy as soon as possible and are looking for aspiring graduates aiming to develop their experience in a classroom environment.
The school has great transport links and is accessible via public transport.
The successful 1 : 1 graduate Teaching Assistant will need to have a degree and a keen interest in working closely with SEN students, along with a minimum of 3 months’ experience working closely to Primary School children.
Alternatively, the successful candidate will have over 6 months’ experience working with SEN children, in a School environment or a similar situation.
This role will be a full time role, on an ongoing contract until the end of July minimum. Should the successful candidate, prove themselves while in the role, there is an opportunity for a permanent contract and on the job teacher training, to start next year.

- Good education background (GCSE’s in Maths and English C or above)
- Great communication skills
- Local Thurrock
- At least three months experience working with children ranging from childcare, tutoring, in a sports setting, or helping within a nursery.
The teaching assistant will be supporting the children in their numeracy and literacy within Key Stage 1 and 2 and the teaching assistant's primary role will be to ensure each child is fulfilling the learning objective for each lesson.
