Job Description

The A / V Consultant and Lighting Specialist develops relationships with current and potential clients, architects, designers, home builders, realtors, and other industry stakeholders to facilitate the sale of integrated system design and installation services, and obtains expertise in both window coverings and lighting systems.

This individual also works with project managers, designers, technicians, and administrative staff to build rapport with clients and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.

Essential Functions

Develops a strong understanding of audio / video, networking, lighting, motorized window treatment, video surveillance, and automation systemsMeets or exceeds sales goalsNegotiates contracts with prospective clientsAttends regular trainings for lighting and window treatment productsWorks with Systems Manager to present contracts to prospective clientsPrepares weekly and monthly reportsRegularly attends networking events as a representative of 46SolutionsGives sales presentations to prospective clientsVisits clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and servicesWorks with Operations Coordinator and submits sales contracts for payment and orderingMaintains client recordsAnswers client questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availabilityPerforms other related duties as assignedCore Competencies

Minimum of four years of low voltage integrated systems work experience preferredPrevious experience selling window treatments and lighting requiredProficiency in d-tools and MS Office with expertise in Outlook Word, PowerPoint, and Excel preferredMinimum of a high school diploma required : post-secondary degree or certification preferredIndustry recognized (CEDIA, AVIXA, manufacturer, etc.
