Summary
The primary role of the Regional Carpet Planner is to manage the booth carpet planning process by forecasting, planning and coordinating activities surrounding carpet requirements for the assigned region.
Each region is comprised of multiple local branches so that they can optimize orders, consolidate deliveries, and capitalize on production runs.
This role will collaborate with the Growth Team, Supplier, and Branch Operations to align the carpet planning process to ensure that orders are accurate and timely to satisfy customer requirements.
The Regional Carpet Planner directly supports trade shows, conventions and meetings held in facilities within the markets.
This position will support our Supply Chain team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office 2-3 days per week.
The ideal candidate will be located in Dallas, TX; however, we are also open to candidates based out of :

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the End to End process to order and fulfill Booth Carpet needs for all events at supported branches
- Run reports in sales / exhibitor ordering system to determine demand for upcoming events
- Analyze discrepancies in report and get clarification from branch / exhibitor services
- Keep up to date with current product offerings in order to perform analytics
- Create and maintain SharePoint folder for all submitted carpet events for consistent communication with our mill partners
- Facilitate communication between branch and regional operations groups to discuss upcoming event plans
- Establish deadlines for demand submission and report out results
- React on the fly to order changes and covering new last-minute business
- Nurture working relationships with all Freeman, vendor and transportation business units
- Collaborate with functional business partners to develop process improvement plans to address quality and service needs to ensure consistent quality and service delivery
- Create, refine, and submit monthly forecasts of booth carpet to Supply Planning
- Provide aisle carpet support to the region as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering or Business or equivalent preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required
- At least five (5) years of prior operations experience
- Experience working with carpet preferred
- Proficient in AutoCad program and application
- Good working knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite especially with MS Excel, MS Word and MS SharePoint
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Driver’s License and the ability to pass an MVR check
