Job Description
Our firm is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven attorney to join the estate administration division of our legal team.
The attorney’s primary role will be to support clients through the estate administration process. Transactional law experience preferred but not required.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities to effectively support clients in bringing matters to a resolution.
The candidate must be able to work independently and efficiently, while also maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on management and administration of estates, including probate and trust administration
- Assist clients through the probate and / or trust administration process
- Review and analyze draft documents for accuracy and completeness
- Conduct client review and execution of documents
- Advise on administration and distribution strategies
- Communicate and execute high level concepts of trust administration and probate to clients
- Apply concepts and knowledge to effectively execute the goals and wishes of the decedent
- Analyze complex situations, tax laws, and estate plans to clearly and succinctly determine and communicate best recommendations
- Communicate with clients, financial advisors, and other professionals involved in the administration process
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Maryland
- Experience advising clients
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
